War Makes Me Sad

While roaming around National Bookstore at SM Sucat, I crossed upon this book at the children books aisle.

Actually I was looking for some children learning books for my a year and a half old niece when this book caught my attention. Since it's a children's book, the story was pretty short I managed to read the whole of it. (yah I know, no private reading policy..sorry about that)

The story is about a child who has so many questions running in her mind about the war.She is very confused on what is happening around her.She experienced leaving their homes without knowing if they could ever go back.Slept on school buildings as temporary shelter. She wonders how long will they have to run,how far they would need to travel to be able to be far away from the bomb explosions and gunshots around her.

This book is an eye opener. It tells us how a child sees war in their innocent eyes. How much they hoped this thing to end. How much they wish to go back to their homes,to their simple lives. Me myself has questions about wars and wishes for it to finally come to an end. I hope someday, we can do something about this besides hoping. I wish for a better future for the children. A more peaceful world to live in. I sincerely do.
